Today I went to ‘Kirby Café’ Tokyo.
Kirby is a Nintendo game created by Masahiro Sakurai – and even evolved into an anime.
The café in Tokyo takes that world and turns it into a real-life experience. The entire place is designed like Kirby’s universe – from the decor to the music.
Itadakimasu いただきます.
Itadakimasu is a Japanese word that it is custom to say before eating, it’s not bon-apatite -more like thank for the food.
When the food arrived – the dishes look like the characters from the game. As one can see the café feels like stepping inside the game. Everything – the design, the music, and especially the food – is based on Kirby’s world. For me, it felt like I was inside a Kirby’s game.
Gochisōsama deshita ごちそうさまでした

Another Japanese word-phrase that doesn’t have a perfect one-word equivalent in English, as I see it the closest translations is “I really enjoyed the meal.”.
Matane またね (or “see you later” in English).
